As mobile payments gain traction and favor in the market, Facebook wants in so they’ve called on Bango.
Currently, Facebook has apps and credits you can buy on their full website but not the mobile site. With a new merger with Bango, the controller of Blackberry and Opera app stores, Facebook will now be able to offer these purchases on a mobile platform. It was necessary for Facebook to contract this out because customers are concerned about security. Facebook already has so much of their customers information public, the idea of giving them your credit card number too is worrisome for users. It’s like telling the school gossip in middle school who you have a crush on; bad idea.
