Different Types of Guest Blog Posts We Accept

Here’s a list of the types of blog posts we publish:

Research-based Content: Content-based on polls, surveys, and research studies conducted by marketers, academia, PR firms, and other researchers garner more shares and links than almost any other form of content. Your thought leadership increases when you Include proper attribution of data, quotations, and outside content referenced in the article.

Infographics: Infographic submissions must be accompanied by a 350-500 word excerpt of the content included in the infographic. The article should further explain your infographic’s topic and use as up-to-date sources as possible.

Bylined “how-to” articles: Our readers look for actionable tactics and/or steps to achieve specific goals. When our readers finish reading your article, they should be able to execute the given tips, strategies, and ideas immediately and have very few questions left on how to do it.

Bylined thought-leadership articles: We like articles that advance conversations around topics and trends that engage our readers—think op-ed rather than content marketing. We’re interested in well-written with a fact-based viewpoint we believe our readers will find worthwhile.

How to Get Published on Customer Insight Group Blogs

Guest blog posts must meet Customer Insight Group’s editorial team’s quality standards to get published. Following these tips will help us publish your content and deliver the most value to readers and authors.

  • Articles should be original to the author and unpublished elsewhere. (Google hates duplicate content.)
  • Include a brief bio of 25 words, link to your LinkedIn profile and a recent headshot (make sure the upper half of your torso is also in the picture).
  • Links in the articles should be relevant and add value to the content. So please be thoughtful about the links and check your facts and quotations. Cite the original sources (not the source that quoted the original source.) Include links immediately preceding the words to be linked (the anchor text); do not embed the anchor text links (but feel free to underline that anchor text).
  • The preferred length of articles is 750 – 1000 words with no more than 1,250 words.
  • Readers LOVE statistics, and they help create benchmarks for comparison. Plus, we love to feature stats in our tweets and links to the articles to get more traffic to your great content.
  • Offer clear takeaways. The content should be helpful, which means the audience should walk away with something actionable, not just theoretically.
  • If you submit an article that mentions businesses or companies you have a vested interest or partnership, disclose this information to us and the audience.
  • Make your article visually engaging with screenshots, photos and graphics to illustrate your points.
  • Keep readers interested with subheadings, bulleted lists, and bold fonts to highlight key concepts and action items.
